We will provide a well organized event that offers many of the amenities of
larger marathons but without the crowds.

On September 25th2006 the
Casper Marathon committee was honored to
welcome Ultra Marathoner Dean Karnazes as he completed his 9th
marathon in as many days on the Casper Marathon course. His quest to run 50 marathons in 50
days was part of the North Face Endurance 50 Challenge. The Casper
Marathon Committee would like to thank and congratulate Dean on his success
as he completed his expedition Nov. 6, at the New York
City Marathon.

Casper is located in central Wyoming. Casper and Cheyenne
are the two largest cities in the state. The population of Casper is 49664.

Flying:
|
Casper is served through Natrona County
International Airport (NCIA), located 12 miles west of town. NCIA offers
connections to Salt Lake City, Denver, and Billings,
MT.
|

Driving:
|
Interstate 25 runs through Casper. Mileage from Casper
to Cheyenne is 180 miles, 280 to Denver, 410 to Salt Lake City,
280 to Billings, MT.
