THE TRAGIC EVENTS AT THE BOSTON MARATHON LAST APRIL
NOT ONLY AFFECTED RUNNERS BUT IF AFFECTED ALL OF US.
THE CASPER MARATHON COMMITTEE HAD THE BANNER YOU SEE TO THE LEFT CREATED AND OFFERED ANYONE AT OUR
EVENT THE OPPORTUNITY TO SIGN THE BANNER AND SHOW
THEIR SUPPORT TO THE VICTIMS, THE RUNNERS AND THE PEOPLE OF BOSTON. DONATIONS WERE ALSO ACCEPTED.
THE MARATHON COMMITTEE WOULD LIKE TO THANK
EVERYONE WHO SHOWED THEIR WELL WISHES AND SUPPORT FOR THE PEOPLE OF BOSTON AND TO THE VICTIMS WHO
SUFFERED SO MUCH FROM THE HORRIFIC ACT.
IN JULY WE SENT THE SIGNED BANNER AND LETTER OF SUPPORT, ALONG WITH A CHECK FOR $5OO.OO TO THE BOSTON ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION AND ASKED THEM TO USE WHERE IT WOULD BEST HELP THOSE AFFECTED.
BELOW THE BANNER IS THE ACKNOWLEGMENT AND THANK YOU LETTER WE RECEIVED FROM THE BOSTON ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
RUNNING IS MORE THEN A GREAT ACTIVITY AND SPORT, BUT
AS WE HAVE SEEN RUNNING IS A COMMUNITY FULL OF
GREAT PEOPLE WHO CARE!!
ALWAYS RUN BOSTON STRONG!
The marathon committee would like to thank and congratulate all the 2015 Casper Marathon Participants, Volunteers, Sponsors and Spectators for making the event very successful!!
